What is Checkd?
Checkd is your venue’s digital payout management system. It’s designed to help you initiate, review, approve, and track gaming-related payouts from start to finish.
Checkd works alongside your venue’s existing Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) program. It helps ensure required checks are completed, payout risk is assessed appropriately, and a clear audit trail is maintained for compliance purposes.
Checkd allows your venue to:
- Manage the full payout process digitally.
- Optionally set a mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) check threshold below the legislated AUD $5,000 to align with your venue’s policies.
- Control how winnings are paid (cash/EFT/cheque).
- Route payouts through to management for approval.
- Keep a clear and structured history of all payouts.
Know Your Customer (KYC) Checks
The KYC checks performed by Checkd include:
- Verification of Identity - Confirms that a patron’s ID details match official government records through the Document Verification Service (DVS).
- Politically Exposed Person (PEP) check - Screens a patron against databases of politically exposed persons to identify individuals who may present a higher risk.
- Sanctions check - Screens a patron against international sanctions lists to identify individuals who may be subject to financial or trade restrictions.
Supported platforms
Checkd is available on:
- iPadOS (e.g. Apple iPad in the gaming area), and
- Web (e.g. office computer or manager’s device)
This enables staff to initiate payouts directly on the floor, while managers can review and approve them from e.g. an office computer.
We recommend using a 10th generation Apple iPad or newer.
Automatic capture of ID document details is not supported on the web version of Checkd.
