Creating a Payout: Introduction
Checkd is designed to guide you through the process of registering gaming-related payouts from start to finish.
The process typically includes 6 steps and takes around 2-4 minutes to complete.
The steps are displayed along the top of the screen. What information is collected and processed is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen.
Before starting a new payout, users will see a warning that all payouts are treated as real and must not be used for testing or training.

We recommend creating new payouts via the Checkd iPad app.
While it is possible to create payouts using the web version of Checkd, it is important to note that:
- A camera must be available to complete a payout
- Only the Checkd iPad app is capable of scanning and capturing ID document details automatically. On any other type of device ID document details need to be entered manually.
What do I need to create a payout?
To create a payout, you need the patron’s primary ID and proof of payout.
A primary ID is any of:
- Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Australian Passport.
- Australian Digital ID (QLD and VIC Digital preferred).
If Checkd cannot verify the parton's primary ID, other ID documents may also be required.
If the settings have been configured to collect additional patron details for an ECDD (Enhanced Customer Due Diligence) patron profile during Step 1 (Collect Patron Information) of the payout registration process.
Removing a payout
User with a Manager role have the ability to discard a payout at any stage of the payout process. To do so, tap the 🗑️ Discard button at the bottom of the screen. Please note that discarding a payout will remove it from standard views and no further action will be required, however it will still be accessible via the Discarded filter in the Payouts section of Checkd.
